Practicing Zen gymnastics means developing energy, elasticity, strength and balance. Its work on the position and natural axes of the body makes it a "gymnastics of long life". Its practice goes beyond the simple boundaries of physics, since its objective is to acquire control of the body by strengthening the spirit.
The author, who has perfected this technique in the West and in the East, proposes exercises based on breathing, rhythm, position and balance, alternating movement and relaxation, in which each position is related to a thought. This voluntary path of the spirit allows the action of the body to become more conscious, as well as to better capture internal and external energies.
Zen gymnastics helps to achieve inner harmony and general well-being thanks to the control of breathing, the concentration of the abdominal muscles and the slow speed of the movements, which allow awareness of space. Inspired by martial arts, it increases self-confidence and brings a broader vital dimension thanks to its formula of "meditation in action", which accompanies and exercises the practitioner in his or her daily life.
